We are used to capture the taste and creativity of fashion designers through their sartorial creations on the catwalk. But, have you ever wondered “how is the interior of Valentino’s house?” Or “How did Coco Chanel furnish her house?” Someone else asked himself these questions and created a book that contains pictures of the houses of the 19 most famous fashion designers of all time: ‘Interieurs Couture‘.
With this article we want to display some of the most beautiful and extravagant houses….let’s see them together!
Let’s start from a house that once belonged to one of the most powerful queens of fashion: Coco Chanel. her home is located in Paris in Rue Cambon 31. Every corner of this house reflects the designer, showing her passion for the East. Gold and black are the main colors that are repeated everywhere: two fundamental elements of Art Decò with which Coco decided to decorate her apartment. In every room you can find mirrors, crystals and objects of all kinds.
From the beautiful Paris we move to Switzerland through woods and valleys, more precisely in Saint Moritz where Giorgio Armani spends his days in a beautiful chalet. It looks like a typical mountain house, while the interior reminds immediately the style and elegance of the designer. Mahogany wood, soft colors and a huge stuffed polar bear looking above all the great hall.
In Venice, we find the house of Missoni’s family. Located between the ‘Canal Grande’ and the ‘Ponte of Sospiri’, the house is decorated with colorful and floral fabrics, typical of the famous brand, while the floor is of Venetian marble. The view on the terrace is definitely priceless, it seems that you can touch with a finger the Byzantine domes of ’Basilica di San Marco’.
In the end, the Ralph Lauren’s villa in Bedford, New York State, looks like a dream house. An estate, surrounded by a park that extends over 300 hectares. Inside the decor is elegant, the wood and aged leather elements are repeated throughout the house.
So, which one do you like the most?
